What it does
Modern protocols
HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2 (ALPN), WebSocket frame relay, gRPC detection with a heuristic protobuf walker.
HTTP/3 downgrade
Strips Alt-Svc from upstream responses so browsers fall back to h2/h1
(which we can decrypt).
Map Local rule
Mock any endpoint with a local file. Status + Content-Type override.
Mobile setup
QR code + iOS .mobileconfig profile generator. Configure a phone in
under a minute.
HAR export
Universal interop with Charles, Chrome DevTools, Firefox dev tools.
Why it exists
Proxyman is great. So is Charles. So is mitmproxy. They each have a sharp edge — locked toolchain, paid features behind a license, or a TUI-only interface. ProxyPro is a personal-scale alternative for the macOS + Chrome debugging loop: zero license, full source, hackable, and small enough to read end-to-end in an afternoon.
